These words from one of our camper parents, Laurette, when discussing the value of Moorelands Kids’ Christmas Sharing, truly speak to the heart of what Moorelands Kids is all about.
Your support of our programs can give kids so many gifts. The gift of outdoor adventures at summer camp; the gift of fun STEM projects and active games in our after-school programs; and the gift of essential items for the care of a newborn in our Baby Bundles program.
But there are other, deeper, gifts too at the heart of all these activities. The gift of confidence to a teen who is struggling with self-esteem; the gift of friendship to a child who is feeling lonely or bullied; and the gift of leadership skills to a youth who is facing barriers to school success.
