Have you ever had those days where it feels like 24 hours just isn’t enough to complete all your tasks, and you wish that time would just stop for a moment? Many people can probably relate! Whether you are busy with school, work, or extracurriculars, it can be hard to manage your time when there is just too much to do. Here are some top time management tips to help you decide and plan your time and stay on track in your everyday lives!

Tip 1: Set Goals

It is important to know what your goals are and decide and plan to work towards your goals. A helpful way to set and remember your goals is to write them down!

Tip 2: Prioritize

When you have a bunch of things to do, something you should do is prioritize and not procrastinate. Stay on track and do the important things first!

Tip 3: Organize and plan ahead of time

Another tip to better manage your time is to plan ahead and organize your tasks. Some ways you can go about this is by creating a schedule, calendar, agenda, or list!

Tip 4: Avoid distractions

It can be very easy to get distracted even if you know that you should be focused on certain things. It is important to stay focused on what is important and avoid distractions. For example, if you are getting distracted by someone watching TV in the background, you can turn off your TV or move to a different room.

Tip 5: Set time limits

Another way to ensure that you are doing what you need to do and managing your time accordingly is to establish time limits for each task. For example, challenging yourself to finish all your math homework in an hour so you can move onto your science homework!

Although you might have a lot to do, it is also very important that you take care of yourself inside and out! Make sure that you take breaks to grab some food, take a nap, go on a walk, or however else you like to relax.
