Hey Moorelands!
Right now, we’re really gearing up for the return of our City Programs which begin again next week! Last week we were joined by our City Programs staff for their training sessions which are generously sponsored by Scotiabank. Our program leaders and assistants, many of whom have themselves gone through our programs, undertook an intensive training program where they learned about Moorelands’ programming vision, that:
“Our Children will have the character qualities, skills and strategies to thrive.”
Moorelands would like to thank all our staff who participated in the training for their hard work and commitment – we expect a lot from all our staff and hold them to the highest standards – we’re pleased to say they surpassed our expectations! Our thanks too, to Scotiabank for their support of our programs and our training process.
On the subject of thank yous, we’d also like to say a thank you to our summer camp staff. At the end of the summer our Lead Team gave our Camp Director, Lynda Tilley, this beautiful quilt made from the camp T-shirts of summers she has been Director. It’s a wonderful example of the caring community that we build up at camp.
Moorelands knows that our amazing camp couldn’t happen without our amazing staff so THANK YOU once again to the fantastic Summer Staff Team up at Kawagama Lake!
Don’t forget that this week sees the registration days for Moorelands Budding Leaders After-school Teams at our Gateway and Grenoble locations. Make sure you arrive early to secure your spot.
Finally, if you haven’t already registered to walk or run for Moorelands in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon NOW is the TIME! Get involved and help change a kid’s life. Unable to make it on Sunday October 18th? Don’t despair, you can sponsor us directly here.
Thank you for your support!
