Hey Moorelands!
As previously mentioned, earlier this year Moorelands was so pleased to welcome three new staff members to the office team: Mike, Jodi and David.
This week we’d like to introduce you to David Borsook…
David Borsook is our new Assistant Camp Director at Moorelands Wilderness Camp and is already so excited for the summer. David comes to us with over 10 years of experience working at a variety of camps and can’t wait to meet all of you!
David is a life-long ‘camp person’ who in his own words, ‘grew up at camp’. His favourite camp activity is canoeing and he can be found on numerous canoe trips throughout the year. A long time practitioner of leading ‘intentional’ camp activities, David explains what he finds so special about working with kids in a camp situation:
“When I get campers in a canoe for the first time, they’re not just learning about canoeing… Sure they’re learning those skills, but also (and really importantly) they are learning about teamwork, about striving to achieve goals and about persevering when things get a little tough.”
Our new Assistant Camp Director can’t WAIT to meet everyone up at Moorelands Wilderness Camp and has some super fun surprises planned for camp this summer…
