Adopt a family in our Christmas Sharing Program
Every year during the holiday season, Moorelands offers a uniquely personalized way for you to reach out to Toronto families in need. Our Christmas Sharing Program links a family, firm or group with a family or families to be ‘adopted’. Through your sponsorship or “adoption”, Moorelands provides holiday gifts to low-income, Toronto families whose children attend our programs and are struggling to make ends meet. We provide you with gift-giving guidelines, information about the number of people in the family, the children’s ages & favourites (e.g. colours, music, authors, games) to ensure that gifts will be useful and cherished. You and your family or group members go shopping and deliver the gifts to Moorelands. We then organize times/dates for the families to pick up their gifts.

[/su_spoiler] [su_spoiler title=”Donate Supplies to our Baby Bundle Program.”]Moorelands Baby Bundles contain basic new items needed in the care of newborns, and are used as a teaching tool by health care workers to help new moms in need give their babies a healthy start. Moorelands Baby Bundle Program is truly a volunteer program. The purpose of our baby bundles is to help a new mom get started. All items for this program are donated and packed by volunteers. We have consulted health care professionals, and although the temptation is to provide other items, we include only basic new iteams as listed below that are needed for the care of a newborn. “Seeing my client open her baby bundle brought tears to both our eyes. This bundle was the first and only baby items this client had, it gave her hope that things might turn out okay, and made her excited about the arrival of her baby. Words cannot express the value of this wonderful gift to my clients.” ~ Public Health Nurse Baby Bundle Items Urgently Needed:
