Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, Moorelands Kids’ after-school programs will run online this fall. The health and safety of our kids and staff is paramount. After discussions with our school partners and reaching out to parents to learn about their needs, it was clear that online programs were the best way to keep kids resilient and growing.
Our programs may look a little different but you’ll still get that great Moorelands Kids experience. Take a look!
Online BLAST for Grades 1- 5
- Fun, learning activities offered 3 times a week
- Kids make friends and connect with familiar leaders!
- 2 online meetings, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 pm for one hour.
- Weekly activity video every Wednesday on our YouTube channel.
- All registered participants will receive an activity kit that contains the materials needed to participate in the program.
- BLAST starts on October 12th and will be offered at no cost to participants. However, spots are limited.
Online LED for grades 6 – 8
- Kids develop leadership and life skills through fun, hands-on experiences whilst connecting with friends and familiar leaders
- Runs once a week as an online meeting, every Wednesday at 4 pm.
- Registered participants will receive all the materials needed to participate in the program.
- LED starts on October 13th and will be offered at no cost to participants. However, spots are limited.
Online VITAL for grades 9 – 12
- Runs once a week as an online meeting, every Wednesday at 4 pm.
- NEW volunteer and pre-employment opportunities!
- VITAL will focus on offering leadership, pre-employment and volunteer skills.outside of BLAST.
- Participants earn in-person or virtual volunteer hours and take part in fun online workshops.
- VITAL will start on October 13th and will be offered at no cost to participants. However, spots are limited.
