As Chair of the Finance Committee, I am pleased to share some financial highlights with you from 2025.
As most of you know, 2025 proved to be another challenging year for the economy. As a result, there was a trending decline in fundraised dollars across the charitable sector and Moorelands Kids needed to navigate substantial challenges in order to maintain our City and Camp programs. This was not an easy undertaking, but we accomplished much with fiscal stewardship and integrity.
With such a backdrop of economic instability, Moorelands Kids still managed to raise in excess of $2 million to invest in our work and mission, showing a deficit of $17K.

I am very proud of the accomplishments made this year as funds raised have positively impacted our experiential leadership programs, and by extension have created positive outcomes for hundreds of children and youth, equipping them with the skills and tools needed for their personal success.
Also, for the sixth year, Moorelands Kids has been recognized and accredited as a Top 100 Charity in Canada with a 5-Star A Rating by Charity Intelligence due to our fiscal stewardship and transparent reporting.
All of our opportunities for growth are only made possible through operating funds that are invested into our programs, allowing us to advance positive outcomes for children and youth. At a time when more kids are being left behind, you play a critical role in advancing opportunities for children and youth, as part of the Moorelands Community.
As we look forward to all that 2026 holds in store, the Board of Directors promises to remain steadfast in its oversight and support of Moorelands Kids.
On behalf of the board, thank you for your continued financial support.
