Moorelands Kids holds so much history in accomplishing positive outcomes for children and youth through our leadership programs. Since 1912 we have overcome many economic downturns and have evolved in new ways as we adapt to meet the challenges of each new day. This is only achievable because we have a myriad of supporters who believe in us and who choose to invest in us, so that we can in turn invest in children and youth.
This past year saw more families struggling with financial challenges that were out of their control. We know that low-income families are limited in their choices to have their kids access extracurricular activities, and so struggle with how to keep their kids healthy and safe.
Moorelands Kids is a place where parents know their kids feel safe and valued as we create spaces for them to build positive peer relationships and learn in an environment that encourages them to have a voice, feel seen and develop a sense of belonging with staff who are fun, kind and supportive
Last year certainly had its challenges but we also were fortunate enough to harness the generosity, energy and vision of our donors to maintain our City and Camp programs with integrity. I truly believe that the intentionality behind Moorelands Kids drives us forward with humility, gratitude and hope as we continue to accomplish so much while stewarding our resources effectively.
Your support enables us to be able to connect with families struggling financially, so as to engage them into a community that cares with tangible assets that nurture kids on their journey of life and leadership. It is because of the Moorelands Community, which includes our donors and volunteers, that kids get to experience personal growth and development as leaders for the next generation.
