Starry Summer Night 2021 Swashbuckler

Starry Summer Night 2021 Brings In Huge Treasure Trawl for Moorelands Kids

Once again, the sensational Starry Summer Night Committee, made up of our cottage neighbours on Kawagama Lake, came together (virtually!) this summer to do something HUGE for Moorelands Camp! While the pandemic meant they couldn’t have their annual in-person bash, Starry Summer NIght 2021 still managed to raise an enormous $72,000 and counting through their “SSN Swashbuckler” scavenger hunt, including a huge online auction and the second annual “Aqua Hug” around camp, led by Committee Member Karin Ibsher!

A massive Moorelands Kids thank you to everyone who donated and supported the events and our campers! We can’t wait to reunite in person on the shores of Kawagama Lake and welcome a new crowd of eager campers to the magical adventure that is Moorelands! THANK YOU to the committee made up of Janet Allemang, Doug Clare, Dave Fortier, Karin Ibscher, Bruce Macpherson, Doug Paul, Lesley Paul, Anita Stefan and Co-Chairs Mike Wiebe and Brenda Norfolk!

Even though in-person camp didn’t happen this year, programming continues virtually to empower kids to transform their lives. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to the Starry Summer Night Initiatives this year.
