Role Outline
Reporting to the Director of Programs & Curriculum, the High School & City Programs Coordinator provides leadership and operational support to Moorelands Kids’ High School Programs in the city (VITAL Youth & Youth Council programs) and City Clubs program. This position ensures that programs run smoothly by coordinating program sites, staffing coverage, curriculum development, and administrative tasks. Guided by the mission, vision, and values of Moorelands Kids, the High School & City Programs Coordinator models’ positive leadership through attitude, actions, and conduct. The High School & City Programs Coordinator also serves as an ambassador for Moorelands, actively participating in outreach, fundraising, and awareness events.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete assigned administrative tasks efficiently, including:
- Assisting with registration and follow-up with participants and families
- Gathering and organizing all program materials for each site and coordinating delivery
- Staff scheduling, coordination, and timesheet verification
- Processing and tracking weekly program expenses
- Staff and participant attendance tracking and reporting
- Support program development and implementation
- Assist with coordinating the Clubs programs and, as needed, act as Site Coordinator
- Support the VITAL program by liaising with the VITAL Site Coordinator, acting as a substitute Site Coordinator for VITAL or the coordinator as necessary
- Lead the Moorelands Kids Youth Council including organizing in-person and virtual meetings and events
- Overseen by the Director of Programs & Curriculum, collaborate with the other departments at Moorelands Kids to plan and implement assignments for the Youth Council to support the Moorelands Kids agency
- Assists the Director of Programs & Curriculum Director and the Programs Experience & Administrative Coordinator with preparation and updating of manuals, curriculum, and training materials
- Assist and support training of program staff, as required
- Assist in the creation and distribution of program-related promotional materials
- Serve as an ambassador for Moorelands by supporting and participating in fundraising and awareness events
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Programs & Curriculum to support other programs or the agency at large
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in a leadership role within a multicultural child/youth program
- Strong program development and planning skills, with proven ability to implement effective programs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities and skills
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Demonstrated administrative competence
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Standard First Aid with CPR “C”
Additional Qualifications
Please note that the following qualifications are NOT REQUIRED but will be considered an asset to your application:
- Experience using CampBrain database software
- Crisis Intervention Training
- Related post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent experience
- Valid G Driver’s Licence; access to a personal vehicle is an asset
