The Role

Moorelands Kids is seeking passionate and committed Board Members to join our Fundraising Committee. As a member of this committee, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission by helping to shape and support our fundraising strategy, broaden our donor base, and secure resources that allow us to serve more children and families.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Board Member, support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, including personal outreach, attending events, and making introductions to potential supporters.
• Leverage your personal and professional networks to open doors for sponsorships, partnerships, and major gifts.
• Provide guidance on fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
• Advocate for Moorelands Kids in the community as an ambassador of our mission.
• Contribute to a culture of philanthropy within the organization and across the Board.
• Commit to making Moorelands Kids one of your top philanthropic priorities, including an annual personal donation that is meaningful to you.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate about youth empowerment and committed to the mission of Moorelands Kids.
• Experienced in fundraising, donor relations, sales, marketing, or business development (an asset, but not required).
• Connected in the community with networks that can support fundraising and awareness efforts.
• Willing to actively engage in committee work, in addition to regular board meeting per year.
• Enthusiastic ambassadors who are comfortable asking others to support a cause they believe in.

Time Commitment

• Regularly attend scheduled board and committee meetings, plus preparation time. 
• Participation in fundraising events and donor stewardship activities.
• A 3-year renewable term as a Board Member.
