Our Partners

Since 1912, tens of thousands of disadvantaged Toronto children and their families have benefited from the remarkable generosity of our partners. We are grateful to all of the caring, responsive and deeply committed individuals, corporations, foundations, and church and service groups that have weaved a seamless century of support for Moorelands Kids. Our donors and volunteers have been instrumental in raising funds to support and continually enhance our innovative programs and facilities both in the city and at our magnificent Moorelands Camp.

Partners make programs happen

We gratefully acknowledge the following individuals, corporations, foundations and groups whose major one-time, lifetime or legacy contributions have significantly shaped Moorelands Kids and allow us to continue our vital work in the community. Why our partners support Moorelands

Tracy Rodway

Operations Manager / Fossil Group Canada

Fossil believes the greatest gifts we can give today's young people are the confidence and means to determine their own futures. The Fossil Foundation recognises Moorelands as making a difference in our local community as they promote life and leadership skills in youth from low-income neighborhoods. Our volunteers have seen first-hand the tremendous impact Moorelands makes in the lives of young people and their families.

Janet Slasor

Director, Donations, Sponsorships & Executive Projects / Scotiabank

Through our global philanthropic program, Scotiabank is committed to helping students develop the necessary skills and experiences to achieve success and realise their full potential. Scotiabank is proud to support Moorelands BLAST program, to help empower children and youth to be leaders in their own lives and champions of their communities.

Anne Kane

Office Resource Coordinator / Mondelez East York Bakery, Mondelez International

Mondelez Canada's East York Bakery, manufacturer of Peek Freans and Oreo cookies, is a proud supporter of Moorelands BLAST program. Out support extends beyond annual grants. At Mondelez we believe in community, education and diversity, so we engaged with our employee volunteers to host a richly textures science fair at our plant...I don't know who had a better time - the kids or our staff! Mondelez is very appreciative of the wonderful work carried out by the employees and volunteers at Moorelands who enrich the lives of children in the Thorncliffe Park & Flemingdon Park neighbourhoods!

Bonnie Bell

Moorelands Century Club Member / A donor for over 20 years!

I don’t think of my support for Moorelands as charity; to me it is an investment. What benefits the future leaders of our city/country, benefits me. I don’t have children but I do know that they do not chose their heritage or the environments they grow up in. All children deserve the right to grow up with equal opportunities for education and to have the means available for mental, physical and emotional health. Moorelands’ programs, I believe, help to provide these. I hope that they continue well into the future.

M & D Deery

Moorelands' Sustaining donors and legacy donors

We believe that every child deserves the chance to grow and succeed. We've seen the difference that Moorelands' programs make in children. That's why we decided to provide ongoing support through a bequest in our will.

Douglas Varey

Former Moorelands' Camp Director and Century Club donor

Moorelands Camp is more than docks, buildings and swimming. It’s about teaching values first to the staff and then to the campers. It’s very important that charities that are providing support to people also provide values that will help impact their lives.
