Reporting to the City Programs Manager, the Ass't. Manager/Day Camp Director is responsible for the administration of the City Programs Department; assisting with development and supervision of recreation and social/life-skills programs in Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park; and for planning and supervising Moorelands City Summer Day Camp in Flemingdon Park.

As the Day Camp Director, you will hire, train and supervise staff; plan and oversee the delivery of the Day Camp program; oversee the camper registration process; update program manuals; and liaise with parents and partner staff.

In your role as Ass't. Manager, your responsibilities will include visiting programs on a regular basis; assisting with program evaluations; leading programs as required from time to time; and liaising with social service agencies, community groups and parents.

You will also track program expenses and attendance in programs; create and distribute promotional material about Moorelands City Programs; help prepare staff manuals and training materials; assist in the training of program staff and help prepare funding proposals and reports.

This position requires an enthusiastic individual with a related post secondary degree or diploma and proven experience (minimum two years) working in multicultural settings in a children's camp and/or related program. You are extremely well organized and have strong administrative and multi-tasking skills. You also have excellent interpersonal and supervision skills as well as superior computer skills.
